(or "the Corporation") (TSX-V: CST), the leader in the field of enzyme-enabled carbon capture technology, today announced that the Corporation will be showcasing its technology and successful results of its Valleyfield demonstration project at the GLOBE 2016 Conference and Innovation Expo, the Leadership Summit for Sustainable Business. The event, held in Vancouver, will run from March 2-4, 2016.
GLOBE is North America's largest and longest-running Conference and Exposition series dedicated to business innovation for the planet. The panel will be moderated by Richard Adamson, President of Carbon Management Canada (CMC) Research Institutes. In addition to CO2 Solutions, the panel will have senior representatives from Clean Fossil Fuels Group, CanmetENERGY, General Electric, Climate Change Emissions Management Corporation (CCEMC) and ConocoPhillips Canada. At the main event, a delegation from Quebec will host a pavilion, showcasing cutting edge clean technology solutions from the province including CO2 Solutions' proprietary carbon capture process (Exhibit #1000, Main Hall, Vancouver Convention Centre).
Mr. Carley commented, "This is the biggest event of its kind in North America and attracts a large number of industry and government attendees whose needs and objectives coincide with CO2 Solutions' value proposition of low cost, environmentally friendly carbon capture. The breakthrough results we continue to deliver with our technology have created growing recognition and momentum for the Corporation that we are seeking to capitalize on at events like GLOBE".
Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, will deliver the opening conference address, while more than 2,000 thought leaders, policy makers, and financial, corporate and environment industry executives will come together to discuss how to parlay environmental and social challenges, such as climate change, into opportunities.
"We are honoured to have Prime Minister Trudeau address the hundreds of leaders coming to GLOBE 2016," said Mike Gerbis, CEO of GLOBE Series. "The Prime Minister has stated that Canada will maximize the opportunities of the shift to a low-carbon economy," added Gerbis. "Business, NGO, and government leaders from around the world come to GLOBE to discuss how to maximize those opportunities and turn political commitments like those just made in Paris into solutions on the ground."
