SURREY, BC, Sept. 5, 2012 /CNW/ - If you are a Coast Capital Savings member with an iPhone, your on-the-go banking just got easier with the credit union's launch of its app which is available today from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch.
The new app complements Coast Capital's suite of mobile banking services including a mobile banking website, SMS or text banking, and mobile alert services.
"With the introduction of the Coast Capital App for iPhone and iPod touch, our members have even greater choices for their mobile banking needs," said Sebastian Troen, Coast Capital's director of eBusiness and direct technology. The Coast Capital Savings App for iPhone allows users to perform various functions, such as viewing account balances and account history, paying bills and transferring funds. Customers can also view and manage scheduled bill payments and transfers, receive account-related messages and financial reminders, easily locate Coast Capital branches or ATMs, and contact the credit union by phone, e-mail, website and social media.
In addition to this latest mobile feature, Coast Capital offers a mobile banking website for smart phone users (www.coastcapitalsavings.com/m) which provides access to all key features including allowing customers to view account activity, transfer funds and pay bills. They also offer SMS text banking and text alerts that allow members to view balances and be alerted to fraudulent account activity.
Troen notes that the new Coast Capital Savings App for iPhone offers a unique "QuickView" feature to Coast Capital members.
"The QuickView feature allows you to check out your account balances at a glance, without logging in, but all your critical financial information remains safe," said Troen. "It's a handy feature for those who check their account balances frequently or for those occasions when you want to quickly check the status of your account before making debit card purchases."
He said Coast Capital members can download the app for free.
