Industry veteran and pediatric oncology survivor to help expand success of Canada's only national charity devoted to childhood cancer
TORONTO, March 10, 2017 /CNW/ -The Board of Directors of Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation (CTCACF) is pleased to announce the appointment of not-for-profit industry veteran Simon Williams as the new Executive Director of the organization.
Simon most recently served as VP Development at CTCACF where he has successfully led fundraising and development efforts over the past six months.
"Simon has an amazing vision for the future of the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation," said Jeff Rushton, Founder, Board Chair and Very Passionate Volunteer. "His extensive experience in fundraising, event development and business management - combined with his very personal experience as a survivor of childhood cancer - makes him the perfect fit for this important position."

"Having participated in many Coast to Coast Against Cancer events as far back as 2009, I am keenly aware of the amazing work they have done and the impact it has had on the lives of children and their families living with cancer. Simon has extensive experience in fundraising and has been instrumental in the creation of national level fundraising events. Formerly the Director of Special Events at SickKids Foundation, Simon oversaw the portfolio events that were responsible for generating significant revenue and gifts for the Foundation. Simon also has years of experience in a variety of charity event management and marketing roles.
