David Gordon Appointed to Lead Firm

TORONTO, July 12 /CNW/ - Jean-Pierre Vasseur, President and CEO of RES PUBLICA Consulting Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Gordon as Managing Partner of Cohn & Wolfe in Toronto.

As Managing Partner, David is responsible for ensuring the delivery of creative and impactful communication strategies on behalf of all the firm's clients, and the continued growth of one of Canada's most established public relations firms.

An award-winning communicator, Mr. Gordon's consulting experience has spanned all sectors of the economy. Since joining the firm in 1999 he has led its corporate communications and public affairs practice. He has also held responsibility for Cohn & Wolfe's business development initiatives.

Mr. Gordon holds degrees from York University (BA), McMaster University (MA) and the University of Toronto (MBA). He serves on the Board of Directors for both Junior Achievement of Canada and the Evangel Hall Mission, and is a course facilitator with the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management and Strategic Public Relations.

Mr. Gordon's background includes work as a government relations consultant, Senior Advisor to the Attorney General of Ontario and Minister Responsible for Native Affairs, and as an international trade analyst with the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

David succeeds Peter Block, who has accepted a new position leading financial communications with sister firm NATIONAL Public Relations.
