MONTREAL, April 25, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Collection Loto-Québec will again be a proud partner of Papier, Montréal's contemporary art fair featuring works of art on paper that will take place from April 26 to 28, 2013, in the former Spectrum building at the corner of Bleury and Sainte-Catherine, right at the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. A unique event in Québec that exclusively showcases works of art on paper, Papier13 features works by many artists represented by just over forty Montréal, Québec and Canadian galleries.
It should be noted that much of the Collection Loto-Québec is made up of works on paper. Indeed, the Collection was created following a national print contest in 1979 and, over the years, has acquired many other works on paper. This year, Papier13 will feature a dozen of its recently acquired pieces.
Papier13 is a dedicated venue where professionals, art connoisseurs, members of the artistic community and newcomers alike can discuss and exchange ideas. Event patrons are businessperson and well-known contemporary arts benefactor Dr. Diane Vachon, and Alexandre Taillefer, collector and Board Chair of the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal. Host and spokesperson Catherine Pogonat will once again be drawing the public's attention to the venue.
