Collection Loto-Québec partners with the Musée de la civilisation de Québec and proudly presents the series Hommage aux grands créateurs Français
QUÉBEC, March 13, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Collection Loto-Québec is very proud to announce a three-year partnership with the Musée de la civilisation de Québec (MCQ). This significant collaborative effort was made public at today's press conference marking the opening of an exhibition titled L'univers de Michel Tremblay.
"In keeping with its commitment, Loto-Québec contributes to the growth of Québec culture by supporting organizations and creators who are undeniable leaders in the field," said Lucie Lamoureux, Corporate Director, Sponsorships and Social Commitment, Loto-Québec. In 2009, as the Corporation's 40th anniversary celebrations coincided with the 40th anniversary of the first public reading of one of the most notable plays in local theatre, Loto-Québec decided to support the development and staging of the musical Belles-Sœurs. The Corporation's financial contribution added to that of its partners - the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, CGI and Power Corporation of Canada - resulted in this musical show being currently performed at the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris, garnering rave reviews. "It was therefore in the natural course of things for Loto-Québec to get involved in promoting Michel Tremblay's work by presenting the exhibition L'univers de Michel Tremblay organized by the MCQ," Ms. Lamoureux added.
Hommage aux grands créateurs Series
The agreement between the Corporation and the Musée de la civilisation de Québec stipulates that Collection Loto-Québec will present a series of three Hommage aux grands créateurs exhibitions, which starts today with L'univers de Michel Tremblay. Selected works by artist Pierre Gauvreau in 2013 and an exhibition on the fascinating world of contemporary dance in 2014 will round out the trilogy.
