Collective agreement ratified by the International Brotherhood of Electrical
workers
OTTAWA, Oct. 19 /CNW/ - NAV CANADA today announced the successful conclusion of collective bargaining with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers which represents approximately 700 members. This group is comprised of Air Navigation Service technologists who are responsible for the planning, installation, proof of performance on various electronic systems and equipment and who maintain Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Communication, Navigational Aids and Surveillance (CNS) systems.
Members of IBEW voted in favour of the tentative agreement reached on September 13, 2010. The new collective agreement runs until August 31, 2011, and provides for wage increases of 1 per cent on September 1, 2009, 1 per cent on March 1, 2010 and 1 per cent on September 1, 2010, followed by a 1.5 per cent increase on March 1, 2011.
