Collective agreement ratified by the Professional Institute of the Public
Service of Canada
OTTAWA, Nov. 19 /CNW/ - NAV CANADA today announced the successful conclusion of collective bargaining with the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) which represents approximately 350 employees involved primarily in information management and support as well as engineering support nationwide.
Members of PIPSC voted in favour of the tentative agreement reached on October 15, 2010. The new collective agreement runs until April 30, 2011, and provides for wage increases of 1 per cent on May 1, 2010 followed by a 1.5 per cent increase on November 1, 2010.
NAV CANADA, the country's civil air navigation services provider, is a private sector, non-share capital corporation financed through publicly-traded debt. With operations from coast to coast to coast, NAV CANADA provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information services, airport advisory services and electronic aids to navigation.
