College support contract ratification vote result to be released Oct. 1

TORONTO, Sept. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - The results of a contract ratification vote taken today by more than 8,000 college support workers across Ontario will be released on Oct. 1 by the Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB), the union representing the workers said today.

The ballots of today's vote were placed in sealed envelopes and sent to the OLRB for the tally.

The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and the College Employers Council, which represents Ontario's 24 colleges, reached a tentative deal on a four-year contract on Aug. 15.
