WINDSOR, ON, May 18, 2017 /CNW/ - Collins Barrow is proud to team up with Community Living Windsor on a local event with special guest, retired NHLer Darcy Tucker, to celebrate the organizations' 25-year partnership and shared Challenger values.
As part of the audit, tax and advisory network's "Be a Challenger: What's Your Why?" campaign, Tucker and the teams from Collins Barrow and Community Living Windsor will gather at a special event on May 28 to share stories, laughs and honour what it means to Be a Challenger as they follow their "why" or purpose – as organizations and individuals.
Community Living Windsor is dedicated to supporting people who have an intellectual disability and their families as they pursue possibilities, make choices and achieve the life they want.
"As long-time partners of Community Living Windsor, we were inspired by their 'why' and the indispensable value they bring to the community," said Michael Frenette, partner, Collins Barrow Windsor. "While working with Darcy to inspire Canadians to share the Challenger mindset in the pursuit of their own 'why,' we recognized these values in the Community Living Windsor team and the families they support, and were eager to celebrate them."
"Throughout our partnership with Collins Barrow, it has been clear to see that they embrace our 'why' and believe in a world where everyone belongs and has support within their community to achieve a better life," said Xavier Noordermeer, executive director of Community Living Windsor. "We are excited to partner with them in the 'Be a Challenger' campaign, not only to celebrate our partnership, but also to inspire others to challenge the limits of each individual's potential in our community."
Tucker will be in Windsor with the Collins Barrow team to celebrate the Mastercard Memorial Cup as part of the "Be a Challenger: What's Your Why?" campaign, which encourages Canadians to think about their "why" in life (whether it's making a difference in the world, opening their own business or being the best parent they can be), and how taking on the mindset of a Challenger can help them with their "why."
