Collins Barrow announces new National Chair
WATERLOO, ON, July 4, 2012 /CNW/ - Collins Barrow, Canada's middle market leader for audit, tax and advisory solutions, is proud to announce Dan Longlade's appointment as the network's new National Chair. The announcement comes following official transition of the role from Dean Woodward, who started his term in January 2010.
"During my time as National Chair, the Collins Barrow network saw significant growth through the addition of member firms. We also expanded service offerings in specialty areas and deepened marketplace recognition of the brand," says Dean, past National Chair and Partner at Collins Barrow Calgary. "Reaching beyond the national borders, we formed an alliance with Baker Tilly International to further assist clients expanding overseas by providing access to the highest quality resources and knowledge in the global marketplace."
The result was increased revenues year over year and clients who were prepared to withstand economic turbulence based on the quality advice they received from the experts at Collins Barrow.
"I'm honoured to stand by our accomplishments to date. In passing the torch to Dan, I am confident that he will continue to energize and enrich the Collins Barrow network," adds Dean.
Incoming National Chair, Dan Longlade, became a partner at Collins Barrow Sudbury-Nipissing in 1994. Based out of the firm's North Bay office, Dan has extensive experience working with publicly funded organizations, financial institutions, health care professionals, and private sector clients in every industry. In his role as National Chair of Collins Barrow, Dan is set to champion the network's aggressive growth strategy.
"It is an exciting time for Collins Barrow as we expand strategically into new markets. We are continuing to attract like-minded firms to the network to support its ongoing success, growth and long-term sustainability," says Dan. "As a result of Collins Barrow's structure, we are uniquely positioned to enable member firms to retain their independence and autonomy while benefitting from a proven governance framework and economies of scale."
"To deliver the strengths and expertise of the full network to client relationships, a great deal of collaboration occurs between member firms. Deep expertise that exists within the network is communicated across our offices to ensure that it is available to clients where and when it is needed. In my role as National Chair, I will be working to increase this collaboration even further to bolster internal knowledge building and specialty skills sharing so that clients receive the very best advice and service on every engagement."
"Collins Barrow is the mid-market leader because we combine the personalized attention of a boutique firm with access to the best resources that can only be made available by a vast network," says Dan. "We are expanding to reach more clients in their communities and I certainly look forward to serving as National Chair as we embark on this period of growth."
Consisting of more than 21 independent member firms, the Collins Barrow network comprises the eighth largest public accounting group nationally by revenue. Through its strong network infrastructure, shared expertise, resources and offices from coast to coast, the network provides clients ranging in size from large, publicly traded companies to owner-managed and emerging businesses with a full complement of professional services across every major industry sector.
