EDMONTON, Dec. 22, 2014 /CNW/ - Come the new year, Douglas Kroetsch, CA, managing partner of Collins Barrow Edmonton LLP, will be assuming the role of Collins Barrow National chair. He succeeds Dan Longlade, FCPA, FCA, a partner of Collins Barrow Sudbury-Nipissing LLP, who will be resuming his board seat.
Currently secretary-treasurer of the board and chair of its Professional Practice Advisory Committee, Doug is among its veteran members.
In his role as assurance partner with Collins Barrow Edmonton, Doug provides consulting services to public and publicly accountable enterprises throughout Canada, the United States, Asia, Africa, Latin and Central America, the Caribbean and Middle East.
"Stepping into Dan's shoes will prove challenging, given all we have accomplished during his tenure, especially in this super-competitive mid-market where we're vying with the other accounting majors for leadership," says Doug. "But I have every confidence that we will continue to build on our previous successes. That's why we call ourselves the 'challenger brand.'"
