SUDBURY, ON, Jan. 28, 2015 /CNW/ - As part of its ongoing Trusted Advisor Series, Collins Barrow Sudbury-Nipissing LLP is presenting a breakfast seminar on taxable employee benefits, allowances and reimbursements. The event will be taking place on February 5, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in the firm's St. Jerome Street offices.
Besides reviewing the basics concerning these taxable benefits, the firm's Managing Partner Richard Schaak, CPA, CA, and Senior Manager Chantal Guilmette, CPA, CA, will be discussing the latest Canada Revenue Agency releases as they pertain to them, as well as the GST/HST implications.
"How to determine for income tax purposes whether to include GST/HST in the benefit's value is just one example of the issues employers face and that we will be addressing in this session," explains Richard.
