Collins Barrow Toronto audit partner calls IT a 'business enabler'

TORONTO, March 27, 2012 /CNW/ - In his presentation "Best Practices for Maximizing IT Value and Effectiveness" to the Canadian Conference on IT Audit, Governance and Security at the Hilton Toronto Hotel today, Collins Barrow internal audit partner Charan Kumar Bommireddipalli, CIA, CISA, CGEIT, CFE, spoke on leveraging IT to strategic advantage for governance purposes.

Mr. Bommireddipalli stressed the importance to a company's overall success of building a strong, corporate-supported IT function — one closely aligned with its organizational resources, activities and strategic objectives —  whose performance can be measured against the criteria that matter most to its board.

The two-day conference was co-presented by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, ISACA Toronto chapter, and Institute of Internal Auditors.
