Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada - Monte Carlo Casino and Swim Suit Fashion Gala
MONTREAL, Oct. 30, 2013 /CNW/ - The Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada ("CCAC") will take Montrealers on a virtual trip to the French Riviera with a Monte Carlo Casino and Swim Suit Fashion Show at the elegant Le Windsor Ballroom on November 5th for their annual Fundraiser.
Canadian Olympic Medalist Nathalie Lambert and TV and Radio celebrity Orla Johannes are delighted to host this year's event. "I am thrilled to be hosting this event, it is so important to increase awareness of colorectal cancer so that more lives can be saved. It's going to be a fantastic evening for a great cause!" said Johannes.
Fashion lovers and CCAC supporters will celebrate the wonderful accomplishments of the CCAC during 2013 as professional runway models turn up the heat with SHAN swimwear, stunning jewelry by ANZIE, and shoes by STUART WEITZMAN in a European style fashion show compiled by Artistic Director Hans Koechling.
Distinguished guests will be immersed in a world of glamour surrounded by stellar flower arrangements by Main Florist as they play the odds at Wheel of Fortune and Blackjack tables while being treated to a delectable cocktail-dînatoire catered by Java U. Trips, vacation stays and jewelry are just a few examples of items that will be offered in the silent and live auctions to help raise funds for the CCAC.
Colon cancer prevention, prolonging the lives of those touched by it, supporting patients and their families as they cope with the challenges of this disease and ensuring that patients have timely access to effective treatments are just a few examples of what the CCAC accomplishes daily. CCAC efforts not only ensure that more people are aware of the disease, but that more Canadian men and women are screened for it.
This year's event will include a special tribute to the late Alain Gourd, media and broadcasting executive and former Chair of the CCAC Board of Directors who sadly passed away last December. Alain was a key contributor to the growth of the CCAC and instrumental in its governance.
"It is through the generosity of our supporters and benefactors that we are able to continue to make a difference every single day to patients and their families across the country," said Barry D. Stein, CCAC President.
Major event sponsors include; INTACT, CN, Dairy Farmers of Canada and BELL.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Le Windsor Ballroom 1170 rue Peel. Individual tickets are $375 and a group of 10 is 3,250$.
