TORONTO, Dec. 4, 2012 /CNW/ - From Rocket Monkeys in outer space to the 100th episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the sky's the limit for TELETOON Canada's winter schedule, launching on Monday, January 7, 2013. New series, episodes, specials and more are set to premiere on TELETOON, TELETOON at Night, TELETOON Retro, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim throughout the winter months. Siblings Gus and Wally wreak havoc on an intergalactic scale in the TELETOON Original series Rocket Monkeys, premiering as part of the Can't Miss Thursdays lineup on Thursday, January 10 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT. Featuring the voice talents of Canadian comedy legends Mark McKinney (voice of Lord Peel) and Seán Cullen (voice of Gus), this series is bananas - in the best possible sense of the word.
Hosted by Andrea Jenna, the Can't Miss Thursdays block continues to deliver new comedy programming every week with its all-star lineup premiering on Thursday, January 10. In addition to Rocket Monkeys, every Thursday evening new episodes of Adventure Time with Finn & Jake continue at 6 p.m. ET/PT, TELETOON's latest hit Dragons: Riders of Berk soars at 7 p.m. ET/PT and season 2 of TELETOON Original series Mudpit settles into the 7:30 p.m. ET/PT slot for a new round of gaming, music and big laughs.
Launching on Sunday, February 3 at 6 p.m. ET/PT, brand new TELETOON Original series Just Kidding, from the creators of Just For Laughs Gags, sees real kids good-naturedly pranking adult passers-by. Whether catapulting marshmallows in a park or planting a live bird in an ice-cream cone dispenser, these kids will go to any lengths to get a laugh.
On Friday, January 4, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT Star Wars: The Clone Wars marks a major milestone with the broadcast of the series' 100th episode - and TELETOON has the world premiere of this not-to-be-missed television event.
Elsewhere in the schedule, new episodes of fan-favourite shows continue to air weekly. Highlights include a Friday-night lineup featuring Transformers: Prime at 7 p.m. ET/PT, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Star Wars: The Clone Wars at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. The Amazing World of Gumball is all-new Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. ET/PT, immediately followed by new Looney Tunes at 8 a.m. ET/PT.
TELETOON at Night
TELETOON at Night will continue to air its nightly lineup stacked with hilariously twisted comedies this winter. Returning to the schedule on Sunday, January 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the Wendells carry on with their bizarre new life at the bottom of a canyon in new episodes of the TELETOON Original series Crash Canyon, produced by Greg Lawrence and developed by Joel Cohen.
TELETOON Retro
In addition to TELETOON Retro's existing lineup of beloved cartoons from days gone by, every Friday night at 9 p.m. ET during the Awesome 80s programming block, TELETOON Retro presents episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe never-before-seen on the network.
Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network is embarking on its first Canadian winter with the addition of Nick Cannon and his Incredible Crew to the lineup with new episodes every Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Produced by Cannon, this high energy, fast-paced sketch comedy show premieres on Monday, January 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Incredible Crew joins an all-star lineup of Cartoon Network hits on Monday nights, with new episodes of Adventure Time with Finn and Jake kicking things off at 7 p.m. ET/PT, new Regular Show at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT and MAD: The Animated Series rounding things out at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Another new addition to the Cartoon Network lineup this winter, Secret Mountain Fort Awesome is an animated series set in a world where monsters and humans must learn to live together on earth. The series premieres on Saturday, January 12 at 1 p.m. ET/PT with episodes 1 and 2 airing back-to-back. New episodes continue every Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Saturday mornings mean tons of all-new action on Cartoon Network, with new episodes of Sym-bionic Titan airing at 9 a.m. ET/PT, followed by Generator Rex at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT, Young Justice at 10 a.m. ET/PT, Green Lantern at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT and Ben 10: Omniverse at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT.
Adult Swim
Adult Swim, the post-9 p.m. ET/PT network for young adults sharing channel space with Cartoon Network, continues to offer up its nightly dose of irreverence and hilarity this winter with a couple of new additions to the lineup. On Sunday, January 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, spiritual wanderer Xavier: Renegade Angel is moseying onto the schedule with new episodes airing every Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT throughout the winter. Also on January 13, die-hard fans of the cult-hit series UnderGRADS will rejoice when the show joins the Adult Swim lineup, assuming its regular timeslot Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
