Coming May 16 to the Montréal Science Centre - Furry superheroes bound into the TELUS IMAX Theatre Français
MONTREAL, May 13, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - Not all superheroes wear capes. Some wear collars. Starting May 16, Montrealers will fall in love with a team of four-legged heroes, thanks to the brand new IMAX film Superpower Dogs 3D.
Truly Super Heroes
Narrated by Chris Evans (English version) and Alexandre Fortin (French version), this immersive IMAX tale introduces us to Halo, an adorable puppy recruited onto an elite team of natural disaster responders. We also meet Reef, a rescue dog with the Italian Coast Guard, as well as Tipper and Tony, bloodhound brothers spearheading the fight to protect species endangered by poaching in Africa. Closer to home, there's Henry, an avalanche expert working in the Canadian Rockies, who will be attending the film's Montreal premiere on May 14.
Quebec Contribution
Daniel Ferguson, the Montrealer behind the IMAX hit Jerusalem 3D, is back with a film shot around the world but with multiple roots in Quebec. With music director Michel Cusson and 60 musicians from the Montréal Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre Métropolitan as well as special effects by Rodeo FX, the company that contributed to the extraordinary success of Game Of Thrones, Quebec talent has left its prints all over the credits.
Quote from Daniel Ferguson
"We are lucky to have a tremendous concentration of talent and great enthusiasm for the IMAX 3D experience in Montréal. All the artists, musicians and technicians working on the movie were able to inject their passion for dogs in a very authentic and spectacular way. I'm proud of the result and I can't wait to share it with the public here in Québec"
