The beloved Milk Calendar is back featuring 19 nutritious, easy-to-make recipes for 2016
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 16, 2015 /CNW/ - Featuring delicious food pairings, insightful cooking tips and share-worthy recipe variations, the Milk Calendar is back for 2016. Starting November 19, 2015, the much-anticipated calendar will be distributed for free to almost 2.3 million homes across Atlantic Canada and Ontario.
Presented by Dairy Farmers of Canada, the 2016 Milk Calendar is a time-honoured tradition. Each of the 19 new recipes features the goodness of 100% Canadian milk, by including at least a cup of milk in each recipe, and can be ready in 45 minutes or less. The featured recipes include delicious and easy-to-make Pumpkin Granola Muffins, Homestyle Lemon Cauliflower Orecchiette, Family Night Pizza and many more.
"The inspiration behind this year's Milk Calendar are the special moments shared by family and friends over a meal. New recipes celebrate these everyday moments by providing inspiring meal options that not only are easy-to-make for all skill levels, but also incorporate the recommended four food groups," says Renée Lavallée, chef and 2016 Milk Calendar spokesperson.
The 2016 Milk Calendar will be distributed for free in local daily newspapers during the week of November 16, 2015. You can see the complete list of newspapers on MilkCalendar.ca. Additionally, in celebration of the calendar launch 5,000 free copies of the Milk Calendar will be distributed at different points throughout Halifax on Monday, November 23, 2015.
