Commitment to clients earns Sun Life Financial advisor, Rob Griffith, top
honours
Sun Life Financial to donate $15,000 to charities on Griffith's behalf
WATERLOO, ON, June 8 /CNW/ - Sun Life Financial will honour advisor Rob Griffith's recent induction into the Company's prestigious Hall of Fame with a charitable donation of $15,000 on Mr. Griffith's behalf.
This year, Sun Life Financial will be donating $7,500 to both the Fort Nelson Hospital Foundation in Fort Nelson, B.C. and the Step-Up and Ride Society in Dawson Creek, B.C. Griffith's donation to the Fort Nelson Hospital Foundation will help to provide many patient care benefits that might not otherwise be available. His donation to the Step-Up and Ride Society will aid in funding affordable group transportation for special needs children, as well as for seniors who do not have access to public transportation.
Induction into the Hall of Fame, a lifetime achievement award, is the highest honour bestowed on Sun Life Financial advisors with at least 25 years of service. The program recognizes individuals who continuously demonstrate a superior level of commitment to their clients and actively participate in the communities where they live and work.
"I'd like to congratulate Rob on this accomplishment, which highlights a career of dedication to his clients and the community," said Kevin Dougherty, President, Sun Life Financial Canada. "We're extremely proud of our advisors and the contributions they make in communities across the country and Rob is a shining example of this."
Rob became an advisor with the company in 1980 representing Sun Life Financial in Dawson Creek and the surrounding area. Described as a "quiet leader," Griffith currently operates his business out of the Grande Prairie Financial Centre, one of Sun Life Financial's top performing offices. Rob leads by example and goes the extra mile for his clients.
"Being inducted into the Hall of Fame is an honour," said Griffith. "It's always nice to be recognized for the work you do, and being able to give back to the communities that have helped me is very important. In the end, it's the people that matter the most."
Griffith is a strong supporter of Advocis, has attained recognition for his many accomplishments at Sun Life Financial, and has won numerous industry awards. He is also heavily involved in his community - contributing to local hospital foundations, the Step-Up and Ride Society and is co-chair for the Peace Curling Tour which promotes competitive curling at all levels in the Peace Curling Association.
