CALGARY, Jan. 30, 2018 /CNW/ - Compass today announced it has changed its brand name, from Compass Compression to Compass to provide more clarity as the company continues to expand into the gas processing market.
Additionally, the legal name is Compass Energy Systems Ltd. representing the 5 divisions of business within Compass, being; Compression, Process, Retrofit, Rentals and Parts and Service.
For nearly two decades, Compass successfully attracted top talent in compression. In 2015, the company expanded successfully into the process business, creating a world-class team as demonstrated by the successful completion of numerous process projects. With a "can-do" attitude and strong entrepreneurial spirit, Compass has achieved sustained strategic growth and strives to maintain its reputation as one of the most capable and customer-focused options for compression and process package customers.
The revised name, in conjunction with an overall rebrand and updated logo to reflect the name change, better represents Compass' growing investment in the market. The company's expertise in both process and compression packaging provides a more integrated customer solution, and with single source purchasing, equipment modules are aligned at the application engineering stage and coordinated through design engineering, fabrication and through to commissioning and ongoing service. This cohesive approach optimizes the build of the project and creates technically sound systems that are easy to operate and maintain.
"We didn't want to change our name completely because of the recognition we have built within the compression marketplace," said Scott Douglas, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "But we also want our brand to reflect the evolution and improvement that is happening within our business. It's an exciting time for us."
