Compass Group Canada's Great Race raises $100,000 for The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada Français
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada will receive a $100,000 donation from Compass Group Canada. The donation has been made possible as a result of Compass Group Canada's annual Great Compass Race, a signature corporate event designed to test the endurance of participants in a race around the GTA.
Since establishing a partnership with Children's Wish in 2010, Compass Group Canada has raised more than $800,000 to support wish granting for children diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, through various corporate events including the Great Compass Race.
For one day each year, Compass Group Canada associates and more than 40 suppliers and partners form teams and use their skill, wits and energy in a race against time and each other to search for clues and complete tasks at various locations around the GTA.
As a national corporate sponsor of The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, Compass Group promotes fundraising with clients, partners, customers and at every level in the organization. It truly reflects the core value of charitable giving in the communities where associates live and work.
