Competing Chefs Announced for Gold Medal Plates Toronto
TORONTO, June 18, 2013 /CNW/ - On October 30, 2013, ten local chefs will compete in the Toronto Gold Medal Plates competition. The chefs will create their most innovative dishes and the winner of the Toronto competition will participate in the final, nation-wide, Canadian Culinary Championships in Kelowna, B.C. in February 2014.
"We are extremely excited to once again host Gold Medal Plates in Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre," says co-chair Scot Martin. "This series of culinary events has been referred to as the ultimate celebration of Canadian excellence in cuisine, wine, sport and entertainment. Our goal is to raise much needed funds for the Canadian Olympic Foundation as they head to Sochi for the upcoming winter Olympics."
