Complete closure of one direction of the Bonaventure Expressway (federal section) scheduled for several weekends Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, Sept. 9, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (PJCCI) wishes to inform commuters that one direction of the Bonaventure Expressway will be completely closed during eight to 10 weekends over the next few months.
These complete closures will allow construction crews to continue intensive repair works on the federal section of the highway overlooking the Peel Basin.
The first of the weekend closures will begin on Friday, September 12 at 10 p.m. and end on Monday, September 15 at 5 a.m.

Bonaventure Expressway > Champlain Bridge Direction > access ramp from the A-720 West closed
Bonaventure Expressway > downtown Montreal Direction > two lanes open
Please consult the detour set up for commuters from downtown Montreal headed towards the Champlain Bridge.
Public notices will be published every Monday on champlainbridge.ca in order to inform road users which weekends these major works will take place.
Traffic heading towards downtown or towards the Champlain Bridge will be very heavy during these periods. Streets neighbouring the A-Bonaventure will also be very busy.
This worksite falls within the major rehabilitation program of the federal section of the Bonaventure Expressway, which began in 2008 and allows for the annual rehabilitation of one of the expressway's raised sections.
