Conference Board of Canada named one of the National Capital Region's Top Employers for 2016 Français
OTTAWA, Feb. 4, 2016 /CNW/ - For the seventh year, The Conference Board of Canada has been named one of the National Capital Region's Top Employers.
"We are honoured to once again have our employee programs and initiatives recognized by the Top 100 competition as being amongst the very best in Canada," said Barb Hogberg, Vice President, Human Resources and Facilities. "We place great emphasis on employee engagement and well-being. Our flexible work schedule, paid public transit for commuting to and from work, and health and wellness program are examples of some of the drivers that make us an employer of choice."
The Conference Board of Canada is the largest non-partisan, not-for-profit, evidence-based research organization in Canada dedicated to building a better future for Canadians by making our economy and society more dynamic and competitive.
Canada's annual Top 100 Employers competition – the largest project of its kind in Canada – invited 12,500 employers across Canada to apply with the aim to identify organizations that lead their industries in HR practices and to recognize the nation's best places to work. An editorial board identified the most progressive and forward-thinking organizations against the following criteria:
Physical Workplace
Work Atmosphere and Social
Health, Financial and Family Benefits
Vacation and Time Off
Employee Communications
Performance Management
Training and Skills Development
Community Involvement
The winners will be profiled in a special Ottawa Citizen supplement.
