OTTAWA, Feb. 6, 2013 /CNW/ - The Conference Board of Canada has been awarded the prestigious recognition as one of the National Capital Region's Top Employers for 2013 - its fourth time in six years.
"It's about all of our employees. We recruit high-calibre talent and then strive to provide the opportunity and environment that enables them to succeed. There is a strong sense of purpose that accompanies the work we do and the dedication we have to building a better future for Canadians. Being distinguished as an exceptional place to work in our region reinforces these efforts. For our customers, it demonstrates that the Conference Board 'walks the talk' and is an organization with which they are proudly associated," said Barb Hogberg, Executive Director, Human Resources.
The Conference Board of Canada is the foremost independent, not-for-profit applied research organization in Canada. We are dedicated to building a better future for Canadians by making our economy and society more dynamic and competitive.
The National Capital Region's Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. A feature of the Canada's Top 100 Employers project is that its editors publish, on job site www.eluta.ca, reasons why each winner is selected, providing transparency and guidance for both job-seekers and employers.
The winners are profiled in a special Ottawa Citizen supplement, released today.
