MONTREAL, Oct. 21, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Metallurgy & Materials Society of The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (MetSoc of CIM) is proud to host Materials Science & Technology 2013 (MS&T`13) for the very first time in Canada.
This event is organized together with TMS (Minerals, Metals & Materials Society); AIST (Association of Iron & Steel); ASM (American Society for Metals); ACerS (American Ceramics Society) and with participation of NACE (Corrosion Society). Industries represented cater to metal, ceramic and composite materials for the application in automotive, aerospace, energy, electronics and medical industries. As a result, we are expecting 3000 attendees including 600 students to join us in October.
"The diverse technical presentations and participation from International contributors will make this a premier event in our materials community," said Dr. Priti Wanjara, Chair of COM2013, National Research Council Canada.
The technical theme "Shaping the Future with Technological Breakthroughs in Metallurgy and Materials" will feature over 2000 presentations over 4 days.
