Conference on Mathematical Modeling of Neurological Diseases in Toronto, May 22 - June 5, 2012
TORONTO, May 15, 2012 /CNW/ - Millions of people suffer from some form of neurological disease. Over the past several years, considerable progress has been made in developing models of neuronal networks involved in neurological diseases such as schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's.
The Focus Program on Mathematical Modeling of Neurological Disease from Cellular Perspectives, hosted by the Fields Institute, is perhaps the first event of its kind devoted exclusively to bringing together mathematicians, experimentalists, and clinicians to address detailed issues related to neurological disease modeling. The Program will consist of five workshops, each devoted to a separate neurological disease, and is taking place from May 22 - June 5, 2012 at the Wallberg Building on the University of Toronto St. George campus.
