OTTAWA, Jan. 17, 2013 /CNW/ -
The issue:
Mould can develop between the removable seat cushion and the hard plastic frame of the sleeper. The advisory affects Model R6070, which was the only model sold in Canada. While mould is not present when the product is purchased, it can grow when the product remains wet or moist, or is cleaned infrequently, exposing infants sleeping in the Newborn Rock 'n Play Sleeper to mould.
Who is affected:

Health Canada considers mould growth to be a potential health hazard as it can lead to breathing problems and allergy symptoms for some people. Infants, pregnant women, the elderly and those with health problems, such as respiratory disease or a weakened immune system, are more at risk when exposed to mould.
