Copies of The Sentimentalists Have Arrived at Library
TORONTO, Nov. 25 /CNW/ - Toronto Public Library is pleased to announce that copies of the much sought after 2010 Giller winner, The Sentimentalists have finally arrived at all 99 branches and bookmobiles. Over a thousand people had patiently placed holds on the award-winning novel.
The Library received 212 copies of the book this week including 46 Best Bets copies, which ensure faster circulation of the popular title. While most books can be borrowed for 21 days and returned to any Branch, Best Bets can only be borrowed for 7 days and must be returned to the same Branch.
For e-readers, the Library has also purchased 20 copies of the eBook on Overdrive and cardholders have quickly begun checking it out.
The debut novel by young Montreal-based author and poet Johanna Skibsrud won the Scotiabank Giller Prize on November 9. It is published by Gaspereau Press, a small independent publishing house based in Nova Scotia.
