Government of Canada awards $350,000 in financial assistance to the Maricourt business in Estrie

Pierre Breton, Member of Parliament for Shefford, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, today announced that a $350,000 repayable contribution has been granted to Cordé Électrique to help the business increase the efficiency of its operations.
Having grown continually since its creation in 2010, Cordé Électrique specializes in the manufacture of small and medium-size batches of exclusive custom electrical harnesses. The company also supports its clients in achieving their objectives by providing research and development, prototyping, inspection and overmoulding services. The affordable innovative solutions developed by the enterprise take into account the vision, requirements and specifications of its clients.
Cordé has a strong foothold in the transport, recreational products and home and medical appliance industries. The funding has been awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) and will help Cordé Électrique acquire high-performance equipment and improve its production processes to increase its productivity and production capacity. The project includes the creation of 12 jobs.
