school teens in Windsor to be released

TORONTO , Sept. 22 /CNW/ - National Coalition Against Contraband Tobacco (NCACT) will be revealing the results of a study that examined cigarette butts collected from public grounds around high schools in Windsor.

This is the second time the study has been done in Windsor. Last year it showed that 30% of cigarette butts around high schools were contraband tobacco.

The study sheds new light on how easily teens can get access to contraband tobacco. Gary Grant , NCACT spokesperson, retired Staff Superintendent and 40-year veteran of the Toronto Police Service will be unveiling the study.

Contraband tobacco can be found in communities across Ontario. These cheap and easy to get illegal cigarettes are being smuggled and sold in record numbers and quietly undermining government anti-smoking programs.
