TORONTO, July 6, 2016 /CNW/ - Bringing the festival experience to a whole new level, CMT Music Fest is offering unique opportunities on-site for fans to immerse themselves with local food and lifestyle vendors and connect with Corus' most popular television brands and personalities. In addition to the all-star lineup of performances, concert-goers will encounter larger-than-life activations from W Network, HGTV Canada, Food Network Canada and experiences from upcoming new series The Bachelorette Canada on W Network and CMT's Billy Goes North. CMT Music Fest takes place Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9 at Bingemans in Kitchener, Ontario.
On Saturday, July 9, fan-favourite personalities Drew and Jonathan Scott of W Network's Property Brothers and Masters of Flip duo, Kortney and Dave Wilson are appearing along with the gnarly exterminator, Billy Bretherton from the new series Billy Goes North and Entertainment Tonight Canada's Cheryl Hickey. CMT's Paul McGuire hosts the main stage events throughout the two-day festival. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be by the main stage for the ultimate lip sync battle between Corus' biggest stars.
On-site activations include:
CMT Racoon Rodeo: Join CMT for the Racoon Rodeo and ride the larger-than-life mechanical racoon! Inspired by the new series Billy Goes North coming to CMT this Fall, the activation will allow concert-goers to mimic the experience and adventures of Billy Bretherton (Billy the Exterminator) as he goes deep into the Canadian wild and tackles bigger, badder animals and crazy, out-of-control critters.
HGTV Canada Photo Booth: CMT Music Fest guests can immerse themselves into the world of HGTV Canada by taking a green screen photo with their favorite HGTV celebrities. Festival-goers will receive a branded copy of the photo that can be shared via social media.
Food Network Canada Harvest Table: Food Network Canada is bringing the network's Harvest Table, stretching an enormous 60 feet, to CMT Music Fest. Designed to offer a central place to rest and enjoy food at the event, the entire surface of the wood table boasts a custom hand drawn illustration of Canada, including famous sights, regional facts and many of the stops from Food Network Canada's latest series Great Canadian Cookbook and Neighbourhood Eats.
The Bachelorette Canada Pop-Up: Be the first to experience The Bachelorette Canada, coming to W Network this fall. Fans will have the opportunity to receive airbrush tattoos professing love and romance prior to getting their picture perfect photo taken on an oversized engagement ring swing set against a rose embellished archway. Visitors who jump on board for love will be entered to win one of four gift cards courtesy of Michael Hill.
W Network Lounge: W Network offers the perfect area to take a moment and refresh in an air-conditioned lounge on-site. Concert goers will be pampered with hair and make-up touch ups, phone charging stations and wine sampling exclusively from Two Oceans. Come by and meet W Network's Property Brothers and Kortney and Dave of Masters of Flip on Saturday, July 9. Meet and greet times to be posted on-site.
Throughout Friday and Saturday, fans can treat themselves to great eats and pop-up shops at the festival's Market Lane. Local food vendors include Southern Ontario Smoked BBQ, 50 Pesos, The Spinning Spudster, Kisko Freezies, The Frequent Fryer, Wafel Bar, Gourmet Gringos and much more. Pop-up shops from lifestyle, clothing and jewelry vendors include Gypsy Sora, R'skewd Fashion, KOOL HATS, WILD WEST APPAREL, Go HOLSTER and Northern Rustication. CMT Music Fest's official merchandise booth will also be located in the area and will feature curated clothing from Kitchener's own sister-duo designer label MUTTONHEAD.
