Corus Entertainment's Eastern Ontario Television Channels Enter into a Program Supply Agreement with Bell Media to Broadcast CTV Programming
CHEX-TV Peterborough, Channel 12 Durham and CKWS Kingston to broadcast CTV's lineup of hit programs including The Amazing Race Canada, MasterChef Canada and CTV National News
TORONTO, May 20, 2015 /CNW/ - Corus Entertainment Inc. (CJR.B) announced today that it has entered into a comprehensive program supply arrangement with Bell Media's CTV, marking a new chapter for Corus' local television channels in Eastern Ontario. This arrangement results in Corus' three channels – CHEX-TV in Peterborough, Channel 12 in Oshawa and CKWS-TV in Kingston – broadcasting news, sports, information and entertainment programming from Bell Media's top-rated network, CTV, effective August 31, 2015.

On August 31, CHEX-TV, Channel 12 and CKWS-TV will launch new broadcast schedules featuring a slate of CTV favourites including hit series The Amazing Race Canada and MasterChef Canada, to name a few. With this arrangement, CTV's one-hour daily national news program, CTV National News with Lisa LaFlamme, will be integrated into the programming lineup along with the current local daily Newswatch newscasts. More details will be announced closer to the launch date.
