QUÉBEC CITY, Sept. 22, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 929 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,193,964*;
- 20 new deaths, for a total of 16,717 deaths, i.e.;
- 0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
- 3 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 17 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day. Otherwise, 15 deaths are added to the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. It is a catch-up in the data entry of deaths that occurred more than 60 days ago. - 3,689 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,549 hospitalizations, including 512 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 9 compared to the previous day;
- 132 new entries,
- 123 new discharges;
- 36 people in intensive care, including 19 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 1 compared to the previous day;
- 8 new entries,
- 9 new discharges;
- 12,590 samples conducted on September 20;
- 289,751 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 242,857 positive: 188 declared for yesterday, including 163 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 23,729 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 21,102,775 doses received by Quebecers.
