QUÉBEC CITY, Aug. 12, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 1,154 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,161,491*;
- 18 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 16,116 deaths;
- 4,334 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 2,000 hospitalizations, including 678 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 56 compared to the previous day;
- 123 new entries,
- 179 new discharges;
- 57 people in intensive care, including 30 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 2 compared to the previous day;
- 10 new entries,
- 8 new discharges;
- 11,928 samples conducted on August 10;
- 274,839 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 229,904 positive: 224 declared for yesterday, including 196 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
- 10,563 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,433,004 doses received by Quebecers.
