QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 9, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 607 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,307,181*;
- 5 new deaths, for a total of 18,002 deaths, i.e.;
- 2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
- 0 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
- 2,159 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,378 hospitalizations, including 434 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 7 compared to the previous day;
- 89 new entries,
- 96 new discharges;
- 27 people in intensive care, including 12 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 5 compared to the previous day;
- 0 new entries,
- 5 new discharges;
- 8,359 samples conducted on February 7;
- 323,614 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 273,047 positive: 39 declared for yesterday, including 35 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 2,020 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,897,075 doses received by Quebecers.
