QUÉBEC CITY, July 6, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 1 839 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,098,011*;
- 13 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,630 deaths;
- 7,041 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,497 hospitalizations, for an increase of 56 compared to the previous day;
- 183 new entries,
- 127 new discharges;
- 40 people in intensive care, for an increase of 1 compared to the previous day;
- Due to a compilation problem, data on intensive care admissions and discharges are not available today. The situation will be restored tomorrow.
- 14,465 samples conducted on July 4;
- 240,214 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 199,124 positive: 715 declared for yesterday, including 642 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 7,130 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,078,507 doses received by Quebecers.
