QUÉBEC CITY, Jan. 19, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 573 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,297,408*;
- 15 new deaths, for a total of 17,846 deaths, i.e.;
- 1 death in the last 24 hours,
- 10 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 4 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
- 2,182 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,819 hospitalizations, including 594 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 40 compared to the previous day;
- 106 new entries,
- 146 new discharges;
- 48 people in intensive care, including 26 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 4 compared to the previous day;
- 5 new entries,
- 9 new discharges;
- 9,155 samples conducted on January 17;
- 322,046 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 271,642 positive: 42 declared for yesterday, including 35 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
- 4,712 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,846,590 doses received by Quebecers.
