QUÉBEC CITY, Aug. 26, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 749 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,174,312*;
- 18 new deaths, for a total of 16,324 deaths, i.e.;
- 2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
- 8 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 8 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
- 3,901 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,918 hospitalizations, including 639 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 54 compared to the previous day;
- 114 new entries,
- 168 new discharges;
- 41 people in intensive care, including 24 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 3 compared to the previous day;
- 9 new entries,
- 12 new discharges;
- 12,123 samples conducted on August 24;
- 281,212 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 235,517 positive: 173 declared for yesterday, including 137 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
- 22,946 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,659,951 doses received by Quebecers.
