COVID-19: Red Level Alert - Loto-Québec temporarily suspends certain activities, including those at the Trois-Rivières gaming hall Français
MONTRÉAL, Oct. 9, 2020 /CNW/ - Following the Ministre de la Santé du Québec's press conference on October 8, and in keeping with our commitment to comply with measures established by the government, Loto-Québec is temporarily suspending several activities in Trois-Rivières, part of Centre-du-Québec and the Portneuf RMC.
As of midnight on Saturday, Loto-Québec will:
- Close the Trois-Rivières gaming hall.
- Shut down video lottery terminals (VLTs) in Trois-Rivières, Centre-du-Québec (Bécancour, Nicolet-Yamaska and Drummond RMCs) and Portneuf RMC, and close the Kinzo hall in Drummondville.
- Suspend network bingo activities, even in halls that remain open.
Please keep in mind that the Casino de Montréal, the Québec City gaming hall, VLTs as well as network bingo and Kinzo halls in the Montréal Metropolitan Community, Chaudière-Appalaches and the Québec City area (except for Charlevoix) remain temporarily closed.
Lottery sales, which are not affected by the new directives, will continue throughout our retail network. The Casino de Charlevoix, Casino de Mont-Tremblant, Casino du Lac-Leamy, Hilton Lac-Leamy and Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu remain open. In other regions, VLTs and Kinzo halls continue to be operational.
These temporary measures are necessary to protect everyone's health and safety. Loto-Québec urges people to be prudent, particularly by avoiding travel between regions and following public health guidelines.
