TORONTO, July 29, 2016 /CNW/ - Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) applauds and acknowledges the 1,011 candidates who successfully passed the profession's Common Final Examination (CFE).
"Today we congratulate these ambitious individuals and celebrate their significant accomplishment," says Joy Thomas, president and CEO, CPA Canada. "They should be proud of reaching this career milestone as they continue on their journey to earning a globally respected business and accounting designation."
Sandy Hilton, CPA Canada's vice-president, precertification education, echoes that sentiment. "Passing the CFE requires dedication, perseverance and patience but it is worth the effort. Once earned, the CPA designation can open many doors to a lifetime of great opportunities, both in Canada and internationally."
The individuals being recognized today wrote the CFE in May. They are the second group of successful CFE writers and will eventually join other Canadian CPAs once they complete their practical experience requirements. Another writing of the CFE will take place in September.
