TORONTO, July 10, 2014 /CNW/ - The Private Capital Markets Association of Canada (PCMA) awarded Cranson Capital Securities Inc. (Cranson Capital) with the 2013 Residential Real Estate Deal of the Year Award for their success in raising a private placement of $28 million for the One Yorkville condominium project development. Cranson Capital had participation in this lucrative RRSP and TFSA eligible investment opportunity from over 170 Ontario based accredited investors. This was the 2nd consecutive Residential Real Estate Deal of the Year Award for Cranson Capital and their 3rd overall Deal of the Year Award from the PCMA.
Located in the prestigious downtown Toronto neighbourhood of Yorkville, One Yorkville is a joint venture between Plazacorp Inc. (Plazacorp) and Bazis Inc. which features a 58-storey residential condo development at the corner of Yonge Street and Yorkville Avenue. By conjoining Yorkville's past with the future, One Yorkville hopes to mark a new era of elegance and ingenuity to the neighbourhood. The development was greeted in the real estate market with a spectacular sales launch in early 2014 and looks to be one of the leading condo development projects in the city.
This is not the first time Plazacorp has partnered with accredited investors on a condo development. In 2007, Plazacorp raised a total of $31 million dollars for a 1633 unit residential condominium project, similar to One Yorkville, in the downtown Toronto neighborhood of Liberty Village. Those astute investors were able to more than triple their money over a period of six years, providing a return of over 240% on their investment.
