MONTREAL, July 24, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The very first International Forum on Health (IFH) will be held in Montreal from October 22 to 24 2013. The Forum is organized by the 5 University Health Centers of Quebec (Conférence des CHU du Québec) in cooperation with partners of the healthcare system and the Palais des Congrès de Montréal. This exchange forum will provide an opportunity to promote the health sector and find new approaches to improve health care and services offered to the population.
The intent of this annual international-scale event is to become a can't-miss event inasmuch as it will provide a platform for meeting various healthcare and education specialists as well as business people. It will also provide an opportunity to identify concepts, methods and skills required for the transformation of health systems and facilities while targeting the various issues surrounding this subject. As an unifying and inclusive event, the IFH will go beyond the conventional realm of health care, allowing stakeholders from various sectors to raise questions and find innovative solutions for the purpose of improving health of the Quebec population and that of people throughout the world.
"This unique information exchange forum will provide an opportunity for participants from various countries to meet future partners, enter into agreements and share knowledge as well as create new opportunities. Virtual communities will emerge so that information exchange may continue throughout the year and become a powerful international network of knowledge management," noted the CHU Sainte-Justine's Executive Director and President of the Conférence des CHU du Québec. Dr. Fabrice Brunet. "The intent of the IFH is to be a catalyst for partnerships and innovation, thereby driving the transformation of health organizations and systems around the world," he added.
An international site to host the event
Located on the doorstep of Quartier de la Santé and partner of the event, the Palais des Congrès will host this large international event. "The Creation of the International Forum on Health forms part of the Palais des Congrès de Montréal strategy, namely to actively support Quebec's priority sectors while generating economic and intellectual spinoffs for Montreal and the province," noted Marc Tremblay, President and CEO for the Palais des Congrès de Montréal.
