Three-day festival offers entertainment and activities for all ages
MONTRÉAL, June 6, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The largest and most attended of all Grand Prix festivals, the Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival, presented by Corona Extra, is back for its 17th edition. The three-day event is set for June 9-10-11 and is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
From Sherbrooke St. to Ste-Catherine St., Montreal's trendiest street will rev to the sound of performance vehicles, pit stop contests, simulators and awesome displays. Sponsors such as Corona Extra, Dodge and Shell, just to name a few, will once more enable the 550,000-plus Crescent St festival goers to enjoy the event which is now embedded as a Montreal tradition.
Among the global brands returning this year is Shell with its Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Zone, to the delight of the visitors. By partaking in the numerous activities in the zone, the festival-goers may get the chance to win Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline, in addition to a variety of goodies. This year, visitors will be invited to take a 3D journey to the inside of an engine and will also allow viewers to virtually visit a race track paddock and the Shell Trackside Lab. Once again, it will be possible to admire a show car and dress up in racing gear for a selfie.
We are happy to welcome many new sponsors this year such as Just for Laughs, 24H News Paper, Polaris and many others. Also, Kanetix will be back with its virtual driving experience, using an Oculus Rift system.
This year we are taking the initiative at the event to support charities such as Salon de l'Autisme TSA, Nez pour Vivre and Life Science. Vigilant global will also be present, riding their bikes to raise money for their foundation: Ride To Conquer Cancer.
For horsepower lovers, cars and more cars will be on display on the street with the return of Dodge and FIAT. Each will have their respective zones on both sides of Crescent Street.
