Three-day festival promises packed schedule for all ages
MONTRÉAL, June 1, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The grandfather of all Grand Prix festivals, the Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival presented by Corona is in its 16th edition, with a new look, new sponsors and new activations encompassing all ages into the festivities during the Grand Prix weekend. Crescent Street has become known world wide for hosting one of the largest Grand Prix Festivals. The event is set to takes place on Thursday June 4, 5 and 6 and is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
The festival has become a lifestyle event with everything from Formula racecars, modified streetcars, simulators, games and merchandise booths and this year, globally recognized brands, Shell, UPS and Harley-Davidson who will bring exiting booths and diverse activations for all ages.
Shell is celebrating the launch of its new Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline. Guests have the chance to win Shell fuel when they test their racing skills in the Shell Unleashed video game! Festival goers will also have the chance to enjoy racing simulators, see a show car, take a 3D journey through the inside of an engine and dress up in racing gear for a selfie on the #ShellVPowerNiTRO winner's podium.
UPS will bring a Formula 1 driver on Thursday morning to enhance an activation showcasing its new UPS Access Point locations business solution before offering consumers the chance to win exclusive merchandise across the weekend. As to Harley-Davidson, they will have 6 original motorcycles on display all weekend as part of The Ultimate Street Battle cross-Canada competition. Celebrity judges will choose the top motorcycle and the winner will be announced on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Other activities include a virtual driving experience by Kanetix and Grevin Montréal with a wax statue of Gilles Villeneuve and many more.
For horsepower lovers, cars and more cars will be on display on the street with the return of Dodge and Fiat. Each will have their respective zones on both sides of Crescent Street. These vehicles coupled with the various sponsored Formula show cars will remind visitors that this is the place to be on Grand Prix weekend.
Alfa Romeo returns with the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Pit Stop challenge. The Pit Stop Challenge is open to the general public from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. where the public will test their skills at a timed, tire-changing activity that is just like the pros. The challenge welcomes the media as well as celebrities and athletes like Patrice Bernier, Jonas and Canada's top divers The Fab 4.

"We welcome the festival season and invite all Montrealers to join our merchants in kicking-off the summer season at the Festival."
The Crescent Street Grand Prix festival is also known for its music and the amazing performances presented on the Corona stage located at the corner of de Maisonneuve Street. The Corona stage has been the center of some of the biggest street parties over the years with the presence of great bands that rocked the street with their music. And 2015 is no exception.
Nightly performances on the Corona stage promise to be energizing and entertaining. Thursday will launch with a bang with Three Of Us at 7:00 pm, followed by Carl Müren at 8:30 pm and Tone Call at 9:00 pm. Friday evening will see Joshua II at 7:00 p.m. followed by Kofax at 8:30 p.m. and Supersonic will rock the place at 9:00 pm. Saturday will showcase 4 amazing acts beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Terry Starr, followed by The Grand Illusion Styx Experience at 7:00 p.m., Domeno at 8:00 p.m. and the grand finale being Shine, show band at 9:00 p.m.
Every day at 4:00 p.m. the Corona stage will welcome some of Montreal's established and most recognized DJs while at 11:30 on Friday and Saturday, Crescent Street's own Merchants' DJs will be performing on stage.

Opening ceremonies for the festival will take place on Thursday, June 4 at 12:30 p.m. on the Corona stage and will be followed by the Celebrity Pit Stop Challenge at 1 p.m. and the media competition at 4:30 p.m.
The Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival presented by Corona will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Crescent Street taking up two full blocks of excitement between Sainte-Catherine and Sherbrooke streets, June 4-6.
