Crews will work through the night to restore remaining customers without power

TORONTO, Oct. 31, 2012 /CNW/ - As of 9 p.m. today, Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited (Toronto Hydro) has restored power to all but approximately 240 customers. Crews will continue to work throughout the night until all power is restored.

Toronto Hydro is asking all customers who remain without power (or with partial power) to call again to report it at 416-542-8000. 

While Halloween trick-or-treating is winding down, Toronto Hydro crews are remaining vigilant, ensuring work zones are safe and pedestrian traffic is managed.

Toronto Hydro is reminding customers to stay clear (at least 10 metres back) from damaged utility poles or downed power lines as they may be energized.

Electrical emergencies and power outages should be reported immediately to Toronto Hydro at 416-542-8000.

Customers can expect updates from Toronto Hydro via Twitter (@TorontoHydro, on torontohydro.com, through the media or by calling 416-542-8000. Toronto Hydro will provide an update on the status of the restoration at approximately 5:00 a.m. Thursday, November 1.
