TORONTO, Oct. 3, 2013 /CNW/ - The combination of fan favourite series CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI propelled CTV to the #1 spot again on Wednesday night, with the network winning primetime in total viewers and all key demos. For the second night in a row, CTV was the most-watched network in Canada for all key demos*.
A closer look at Wednesday:
- At 9 p.m. CRIMINAL MINDS captured 2 million viewers, winning its timeslot with total viewers and all key demos. With two-and-a-half times more viewers than both SEAN SAVES THE WORLD (772,000; Global) and THE MICHAEL J. FOX SHOW (767,000; Global), CRIMINAL MINDS was also the most-watched program of the night in Toronto, and won its timeslot in all metered markets among conventional networks with total viewers.
- At 10 p.m., CSI (1.8 million viewers) garnered 48% more viewers than the series premiere of IRONSIDE (1.2 million, Global/NBC), winning its timeslot among entertainment programs with total viewers and in all key demos. CSI also led its timeslot in the Toronto and Alberta markets with total viewers, and the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos.
Earlier this week, CTV's Tuesday night primetime lineup of MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., THE GOLDBERGS, TROPHY WIFE, and PERSON OF INTEREST also won the night in all key demos, up 16% A25-54, 37% A18-49, and 57% A18-34 versus Global. MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. was also the top entertainment program on Tuesday night among all key demos.
