Toronto Life's new live City Series confronts our future with leading urban thinkers
TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2014 /CNW/ - At a time of Toronto's unprecedented growth and global attention, Toronto Life, the city's leading magazine brand, launches its new City Series. Tackling the hard questions facing Toronto's future, City Series will begin with its focus on three subjects: Financial Prosperity with Toronto's Economy in 2025, Entrepreneurship and Technology with The $100-Million Idea, and the booming Property Market with The Future of Toronto Real Estate.
"The development of Toronto is racing forward at unprecedented speed," says David Hamilton, publisher of Toronto Life. "City Series will tap some of the city's brightest and most influential experts to predict what the future may bring for everyone who lives here."
Hosted at two of the city's most forward thinking institutions, University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and innovation centre MaRS Discovery District, and supported by premier sponsors, Manulife and Empire Communities, Toronto Life is taking its editorial spirit to the stage to engage the city's community in this discussion. "Magazines, at their best, provoke conversation," says Sarah Fulford, editor-in-chiefof Toronto Life. "Here, the spirit that enlivens Toronto Life moves from the page to the stage."
Nationally recognized media personalities Amanda Lang, Philip Preville and Nora Young will host these events and engage some of the Toronto's most influential urban thinkers -including financial experts, urban developers, digital innovators, corporate strategists and business leaders.
