OTTAWA and GATINEAU, QC, June 14, 2016 /CNW/ - The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission's (CRTC) efforts to modernize the Canadian television system has been recognized with a 2016 Public Service Award of Excellence. A ceremony will be held for all 2016 recipients next fall in Ottawa.
Launched in October 2013, Let's Talk TV: A Conversation with Canadians was one of the CRTC's most comprehensive and complex public consultations and broadcasting policy reviews to date.
CRTC employees will receive an award in the category of Excellence in Policy for their leadership and dedication in engaging and consulting more than 13,000 citizens and stakeholders in a number of innovative ways, including "Flash!" conferences, social media, an interactive "Choicebook" questionnaire and online discussion forums.
