CSC Selects Q9 to Host Cloud Solutions for Canadian Companies and Government Agencies

Announcement builds on successful three-year partnership

TORONTO, April 12, 2012 /CNW/ - Today, Q9 Networks (Q9) announces that it has been selected by CSC to host cloud computing services for Canadian organizations interested in deploying real business applications in the cloud.  CSC cloud services, already available in the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia, will enable companies and government agencies in Canada to subscribe to infrastructure, software and platform as a service. CSC cloud services are accessible from a Q9 data centre over the web in a secure, rapid and cost-effective manner.

CSC will offer both off premises cloud and on premises private cloud. Off premises, CSC offers its Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), CloudCompute™, as multi-tenant leveraged cloud and logically separated dedicated compute and storage. From the same facility, CSC will provide disaster recovery, storage and backup services for the CSC BizCloud™ - the industry's only private cloud, billed as a service and ready for workloads in 10 weeks.

CSC selected Q9's state-of-the-art data centres for its Vblock-based cloud architecture because of their proven physical security and high-availability design. This relationship with Q9 will also enable a portfolio of As a Service solutions for collaboration and end user productivity like the CSC Unified Communication as a Service (UCaaS).
